Unit Overview:

This lesson gives students an opportunity to "be" philanthropists in their own classroom. Students will also learn the characteristics of a volunteer. The purpose of this unit is to increase students' knowledge about various kinds of philanthropy, from individuals doing "random acts of kindness," to corporate philanthropy and careers in the nonprofit sector.
